The new year is a day away. What are you expecting the Lord to do for you in 2022? What are you desiring to accomplish for Him in the new year? What changes are you making to be in a better place spiritually, physically and economically? If we want different results, we’ll have to do something different. If you don’t like the life you’re living, change it. Sometimes the things that require change will have to be done afraid. Meaning, you’ll need to abandon self and doubt, and trust in Christ alone. If it’s a challenge for us to accomplish- we’re in the right place.
Proverbs 3:5-6 is one of my favorite scripture verses. It refocuses me. Reminding me of how limited I am and how limitless He is. Simply acknowledging Him in my day to day, is the difference between victory and defeat. My desire for the new year isn’t possible without Him. I don’t want to be a gifted writer and teacher, I want a double portion of His anointing, I want to be more discerning, more obedient, more sensitive to His leading. I need Him to trust me and find me faithful in the things He’s called me to do. I desire a deeper understanding of His Word. To be a true ambassador for Him. Seeking Him and His Kingdom first. Giving more to His work financially. So I believe for supernatural increase of resources. After all, it is He who gives power to get wealth, and teaches me how to profit. He has chosen my inheritance according to Psalm 47:4 so I’m believing for the manifestation in the New Year.
We serve a God who cannot lie! He will never alter or change what He has said from His lips “My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.”Psalms 89:34 NKJV. He has given me His Word, He has made me many precious promises and I’m persuaded He will keep them all. What has He promised you? Even if He has not spoken them audibly to you, He has given them to you in the form of His written Word. We can claim every promise for every situation. He will not break His covenant. If we will live from a place of expectancy, if we will walk by faith and not by sight, If we will be willing and obedient, We will eat the good of the land in which we live. It matters not about inflation and high gasoline prices. We, His covenant children, will always have more than enough. We are blessed to be a blessing like faithful Abraham.
If we will put first things first according to Matthew 6:33, then all the things and more, mentioned in that chapter shall be added to us. Endeavor to live a care-less life. We’re told by Peter to cast all our cares on Him. I’ve been teaching in the Bible study that God wants us debt free. It’s possible. You may be staring at a mountain of debt going into the New Year, but if you will hearken to His Word and stop spending money you don’t have on things you don’t need, Then you will be able to live within your means trusting Him for the hundredfold. Jesus said if we can’t be trusted with another man’s riches (credit) how can we be trusted with the true riches (divine prosperity).
“Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?”
Luke 16:11-12 NKJV
God will not give you more until you prove faithful in a little. If you can’t manage your paycheck, you can’t be entrusted with a windfall. A good steward is responsible with little and plenty. Are you a good steward? Do you lack wisdom in the area of finances? Before you ask for more money, ask for wisdom to manage what you have. Show the Lord of the harvest that you can be trusted. Set up a budget to see how you’re handling your spending habits. It isn’t more money that we need, it’s more wisdom. The Lord knows how to multiply our seeds sown. Have you been faithful in tithing? It’s the only area where God invites us to prove Him in. He said if we’re faithful we will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. If we seek unjust ways to prosper we’ll fail. Gambling and lottery tickets aren’t biblical prosperity. It isn’t a gift from God. He has a set plan for blessing us. It’s called remembering Him.
“A faithful man will abound with blessings, But he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”
Proverbs 28:20 NKJV
“If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that God, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that He promised to your ancestors—as it is today.”
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 MSG
His promises to prosper us requires our remembrance that it is He and He alone that blesses us.
“Shout in celebration of praise to the Lord! Everyone who loves the Lord and delights in Him will cherish His words and be blessed beyond expectation. Their descendants will be prosperous and influential. Every generation of the righteous will experience His favor. Great blessing and wealth fills the house of the wise, for their integrity endures forever.”
Psalms 112:1-3 TPT
He’s keeping me on the financial topic because that’s the area that most people saved and unsaved alike have the greatest struggles. Discipline is the word for the New Year. Disciplined in every area of our lives. Show the Lord that you’re serious about making changes to live the life He has for you and He will provide the strategy and wisdom you need to succeed. 2022 may be the most trying year for most, but it will be the most thriving year for us who know in Whom we have believed. My prayer for you and me is the prayer John prayed for Gaius.
“Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.”
3 John 1:2 TPT
And this reminder; “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
I John 5:14-15 NKJV
Have a blessed, safe and happy new year. May you walk in the fulfillment of His timeless Word. May you enjoy a greater revelation of His truths and begin the journey to manifestation as you trust Him with greater abandonment. 🙏
To receive everything God has in store for me. How about you? The Lord says “I Am greater than your dreams, greater than your plans, and greater than your thoughts could ever be.” Ephesians 3:20
