Justin Trudeau
@JustinTrudeau
Officiel du gouvernement - Canada
It’s official: Our government’s legislation banning the despicable and degrading practice of conversion therapy has received Royal Assent - meaning it is now law. LGBTQ2 Canadians, we’ll always stand up for you and your rights.
'I Rebuke You Corona': Nepalese Pastor Given 2-Year Jail Sentence for Praying for Healing From COVID
Do you find anything wrong with that declaration? On its face it seems innocent and caring, but is it? Can you imagine being arrested for praying against a disease? His crime? He violated an anti-conversion law. 🤦♀️you can’t make these things up.
In a culture of spiritual intolerance all over the world today Believers in Jesus Christ must prepare to stand up for what we say we believe about the Word of God. Ours isn’t a movement, our walk is a steadfast walk. It’s a fight to the finish line of our faith. We’ve got to prepare to die for our testimony concerning Jesus Christ, His cross, His blood, His resurrection and the whole Truth of the Word of God. There’s no place for the faint of heart. There’s no room for compromise and watering down the Word to be politically correct and acceptable to those who oppose the teachings of the scriptures. Saints of God: Are you prepared to stand?
Ignorance of what’s happening around us isn’t bliss. We must be aware of what’s happening around us. We must be aware of the laws that are being passed, the executive orders that are being put in place that undermine the teachings of scripture. We must be aware of the belief systems of those vying for our votes. We must stop conforming and begin transforming the way we think and act in a godless society. God has called us to be wise. Not by the world’s standards, but by biblical standards. If the Bible calls it sin, it’s sin to us. There’s no room to see how we can make their agendas fit into ours. Make no mistake about it, it’s going to cost us, but if you’re prepared to stand, you won’t be moved.
First of all we need to know what the Bible teaches. It’s not up for discussion or debate. All scriptures are given by inspiration of God. It’s not an opinion. It’s the unadulterated Word of God. He said it will not change or fail. Second of all, we need to practice, study and live it’s truths. We should always be ready, instant in and out of season, meaning it shouldn’t matter if you’re in a room full of heathens or a room full of saints. You should be able to represent the Kingdom. We don’t have time to look the verse up. It must be resident in us at all times. We have been given the Spirit of Truth, feed yourself on the Word of God and He will have something to bring to our remembrance. Prepare to stand every day. You don’t know when you’ll be called upon to stand in the defense of the gospel. Thirdly, we need to be fully dressed everyday in the whole armor of God. According to Ephesians 6.
Paul was always prepared to stand, the disciples were prepared by Jesus to stand. We have been given the Holy Spirit to stand. To stand means we know in whom we have believed. We’re not uncertain about our position in Christ. The enemy wants the church to be muffled. But those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Daniel 11:32. All throughout scriptures we learn that those who were prepared stood. They took their position and refused to move, why? They knew their God. Do you know your God? Then prepare to stand. I read recently about the premier of Canada Justin Trudeau recently celebrating a law that was pushed through without debate aimed at stifling the voices of those who stand for biblical truths concerning marriage. The world is standing up for what they believe in, but are we? We’ve been so fixated on what’s happening to Christians faraway, that we’re missing what’s happening next door.
Don’t think for one minute that these things are not being discussed in our halls of government. We’ve seen or heard of isolated cases of Christian bakers, florists, photographers and even catering halls being challenged in courts for standing up for their rights to choose how they conduct their business according to their faith. For the most part the churches have been silent. Probably praying it won’t affect the rest of us. But it’s only a matter of time till the church is censored. A mayor in Texas tried to have pastors submit their sermons before preaching them because she was a lesbian and didn’t want them saying things she considered offensive. They lost that round, but don’t think they’re giving up. But we must prepare to stand. To do anything else will be a weakening of what we profess as Christians. We must prepare to stand.
I read the words of a persecuted Christian in India. He said we never know if today is our last, but we keep preaching the gospel. He has prepared to stand. As are thousands like him all over the world. We in the west have taken comfort in the fact that we are a free democratic society, but that’s a faulty foundation on which to establish trust. That can change in a moment. Keep voting without praying. Keep up tradition without seeking the Lord. Keep voting for your bottom line. We’re a vote away from eroding religious freedom in our country. I just kept hearing “prepare to stand” in my spirit. I got up off my knees and gave room to the Holy Spirit. I’m writing what He’s telling me. If we won’t prepare to stand, we will be taken by surprise in the same way that the Bible and prayer was removed from our schools.
“Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.”
Matthew 24:4-7, 9-10, 12-13, 37-39 NLT
Are you preparing to stand, or will your love grow cold? Jesus said see, I have warned you. Read the entire chapter, we’re on the cusps of all He has spoken. The Church from where I’m standing isn’t ready. We can’t endure a headache, we can’t endure simple testing, how will we withstand greater trials of our faith? We don’t want to rock the boat so we remain silent while people malign the gospel message. We don’t speak up when given opportunities, too afraid to offend. Last time I checked the world doesn’t give an iota about our feelings. They boast about their sin, they don’t compromise for us. They disrespect us to our faces, and we invite them into our houses of worship wearing drag, men dressed like women reading Bible stories to our children. Is God supposed to be pleased with that? Is that showing the love of God? The devil is a liar!
“Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you.”
2 Corinthians 6:14-17 NLT
I ask you again: Are you preparing to stand? Are you ready to be counted worthy to suffer for Christ? Are you ready to come out of the closet and declare the gospel truth? Or will you shrink back? Hear the words of one who not only prepared but chose to stand as he appeals to us today. I pray you’ll hear the urgency in his words and prepare to stand in Jesus Name.
“We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry. In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything. Oh, dear Corinthian friends! We have spoken honestly with you, and our hearts are open to you.”
2 Corinthians 6:3-11 NLT
What is our response? How will we prepare? The time isn’t coming, it's here.
