READY OR NOT HERE I COME! Part Two

I pray that you have all taken the time to sit with the scriptures we have been studying. We are at the crossroads of decision making time. Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11. It’s time to rouse ourselves from sleeping, and put our spiritual armor on. It’s time to take a stand for righteousness. Who’s on the Lord’s side? It’s time to step up and step out. We’ve got no time to lose. Our long awaited Bridegroom is soon to come. Can’t you sense the urgency? Don’t you feel it in the atmosphere? All creation groans, waiting for the manifestation of the children of God…

READY OR NOT HERE I COME! Part One

We’re all familiar with those words. Famous for hide and go seek. Only this isn’t that. So here’s the big question. Drum roll……….. Are you ready for the big event? Have you been making preparation for living? Yes living! If you have only been making preparation for this life, you are behind schedule. It’s time to get moving. Jesus is coming back! Or haven’t you heard?  Have you been allowing the things that are happening around you to distract from the purpose for which you been called? Let’s go to the video tape I mean the scriptures 😊 “My dear friends, this is now the second time I’ve written to…

ARE YOU A PHARISEE OR A DISCIPLE?

Luke 6:6-11 MSG  “On another Sabbath he went to the meeting place and taught. There was a man there with a crippled right hand. The religious scholars and Pharisees had their eye on Jesus to see if he would heal the man, hoping to catch him in a Sabbath infraction. He knew what they were up to and spoke to the man with the crippled hand: “Get up and stand here before us.” He did. He looked around, looked each one in the eye. He said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” He held it out-it was completely restored! They were beside themselves with anger, and started plotting how…

    NOT OPEN FOR DISCUSSION

“Samuel said to Saul, “I am the one the Lord sent to anoint you king over His people Israel; so listen now to the message from the Lord. This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’ ”But Saul and the army spared Agag and the best of the sheep and cattle, the fat calves and lambs—everything that was good.…

    YOU STINK!!….GO DIP!

What would your reaction be if someone were to say that to you? My first reaction would probably be shock and embarrassment, then I’d do a quick sniff of my armpits lol. That seems to be the first place we sniff or the hand over the mouth breath test. Can I get an amen? No one likes to be embarrassed, especially in public, but if those words came from a well meaning friend you’d probably take it better than if say, it came from a stranger. Today we will look at the story of Naaman in 1 Kings 5. Let’s read together. “Now Naaman was commander of the army of…

    HOW WILL THEY KNOW?

“When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes. He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant: “Go and inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the Lord’s anger that burns against us because those who have gone before us have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us.” 2 Kings 22:11-13  “Write these…

    AREN’T YOU EXCITED?!!!

If someone were to walk up to you and out of the blue ask that question, how would you respond? You’d probably think they’re off their meds lol. But you should probably try it. The Holy Spirit lives to have fun with and through us. It’s a great opening line for witnessing don’t you think? But first you’d have to be excited about what you’re about to share.  When I was growing up around church folks, they exhibited little or no joy about serving Jesus. Frankly most were taught that “religion “ was somber. You had to show the seriousness of sin and hell. Well that may be true, but…

    JESUS OUR EXAMPLE

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself  nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the Name  of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and…

    HAVE YOU COUNTED THE COST?

LUKE 14:25-33 MSG -One  day when large groups of people were walking along with him, Jesus turned and told them, “Anyone who comes to Me but refuses to let go of father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters—yes, even one’s own self!—can’t be My disciple. Anyone who won’t shoulder his own cross and follow behind Me can’t be my disciple. “Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun…

    DON’T FORGET ABOUT HIM!

“To the angel (divine messenger) of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of the One who holds [firmly] the seven stars [which are the angels or messengers of the seven churches] in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands (the seven churches): ‘I know your deeds and your toil, and your patient endurance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested and critically appraised those who call themselves apostles (special messengers, personally chosen representatives, of Christ), and [in fact] are not, and have found them to be liars and impostors; and [I know that] you [who believe] are…
