    WHY DON’T THEY BELIEVE?

John 14:5-12 “Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I Am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you I do not speak on My own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work. Believe Me when I say that I Am in the Father and the Father is in…

    WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous be not terrified; do not be discouraged for the LORD your GOD will be with you where ever you go. Joshua 1:9 Those encouraging words were spoken to Joshua after the death of his mentor and friend Moses. He was now tasked with bringing Israel into the promised land. Following in the footsteps of a great leader can be daunting; but when the Creator of the universe says “I AM with you; be not afraid!” If you had no courage, you do now. What or who has been keeping you back from doing what God has put in your heart to…

    WHERE IS THE LOVE?

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭MSG‬‬ “Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don’t use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don’t stay angry. Don’t go to bed angry. Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:26-27‬ ‭MSG‬‬ How is your love meter or should I say love tank? Is it half empty, half full, running over or depleted?  I’d like to…

    MISUNDERSTANDING GOD’S SILENCE AS APPROVAL

But to the wicked person, God says: “What right have you to recite my laws or take  my covenant on your lips? You hate my instruction and cast My words behind you. When you see a thief, you join with him;  you throw your lot with adulterers. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.  You sit and testify against your brother and slander your own mother’s son. When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought the I AM was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you..Selah”  Psalm 50:16-21 Harsh words? Not easy to swallow? But…

    WHOSE ARE YOU?

In the days of labels it’s important as children of God that we only bear the identity that Jesus through His sacrifice has given to us. We crave recognition from man therefore, we rise and fall by their acknowledgement. Yet, no place has become more segregated than the Houses of Worship.  I cringe every time I hear the church of Jesus Christ being referred to as a “black or white” church. If we follow the early church in the scriptures, what we will discover is that there were no labels given. They were called Christians for the first time in Acts 11:20-21,  their only other identity was based on location.…

ARE YOU WILLING TO GO DEEPER?

1 Corinthians 2:6-16 MSG “We, of course, have plenty of wisdom to pass on to you once you get your feet on firm spiritual ground, but it’s not popular wisdom, the fashionable wisdom of high-priced experts that will be out-of-date in a year or so. God’s wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of His purposes. You don’t find it lying around on the surface. It’s not the latest message, but more like the oldest—what God determined as the way to bring out His best in us, long before we ever arrived on the scene. The experts of our day haven’t a clue about what this eternal…

HAVE YOU HAD A GOD ENCOUNTER?

I am noticing a trend lately. People claiming to have been Christians who are now walking back their belief. Announcing to the world that they no longer believe in God. Trying to convince the unsuspecting that they once had a relationship with Jesus. I must admit that it’s easy to walk away from religion, but not so much when you’ve had a “God Encounter.” The Psalmist David wrote. “I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8 Job wrote after his encounter: “Job answered GOD: “I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything. Nothing and no one can upset your plans. You asked, ‘Who is this muddying the…

    GOD’S GOT YOUR BACK

“Now the king of Aram was at war with Israel. After conferring with his officers, he said, “I will set up my camp in such and such a place.” The man of God sent word to the king of Israel: Beware of passing that place, because the Arameans are going down there.” So the king of Israel checked on the place indicated by the man of God. Time and time again Elisha warned the king, so that he was on his guard in such places. This enraged the king of Aram. He summoned his officers and demanded of them. “Tell me! Which of us is on the side of the…

WHY DON’T YOU TELL THE TRUTH?

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as He was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. BUT the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He answered, I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.” Genesis 3:8-10 There are so many ways I could go with these verses so I have to quiet my spirit and wait for my Teacher. The question The All Knowing God was asking had nothing to do with their location, but…

    FAITH YOUR FEARS-PART 2

1 Kings 19:1-2. Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say,” May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like one of them.” Elijah was afraid and ran for his life.  1 Kings 19: 3a In Elijah’s account, he had wrought a great victory. Bringing the hearts of Gods people back from Baal worship to once again acknowledging the One true God. But his victory was not met with a ticker tape parade, but a threat…
