    HIS WORD

We often say “words matter,” and they do. Words can make you or break you, lift you up or put you down. But there’s one place you can go where all His Word, even His rebuke, will still build you up. I read somewhere where the writer said, even as the Lord rebuked or corrected His disciples, they were never offended, but they embraced every word He said. Why? Because the Words came from a heart of love and compassion. They were never meant to offend but to build up. The rebuke exposed the hidden agenda of Satan. As in the discourse of Jesus with Peter. In both instances Satan’s…

    GLORIFYING GOD

How would you define glorifying God? How would you personally respond if I asked you to share ways in which you regularly bring glory to Him? How do you worship Him in your daily life? Would you consider what you do for a living as worshipping or bringing glory to God? Would you consider babysitting your grandchildren, raising children, cleaning house, washing dishes, doing laundry as glorifying God? Would you consider taking care of your spouse as glorifying God? Going to a game, the movies, watching television glorifying God? Why not? Is it because none of it involves going to church? One morning during my time with the Lord I…

    CHOSEN

“So put aside every trace of malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander and hateful speech; like newborn babies [you should] long for the pure milk of the Word, so that by it you may be nurtured and grow in respect to salvation [its ultimate fulfillment], if in fact you have [already] tasted the goodness and gracious kindness of the Lord. Come to Him [the risen Lord] as to a living Stone which men rejected and threw away, but which is choice and precious in the sight of God. You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and…

WHEN FAITH TOUCHES HEAVEN, HEAVEN COMES TO EARTH.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Do we really understand what that means for us who believe? Most of us have memorized the disciples prayer. It’s not the Lord’s Prayer, because He was teaching them how to pray to His Father in order for us to get heaven’s response. We don’t need to turn to it, we know it by rote. But for the prayer to be effective, we need to understand the power behind every word. Do we have faith to believe that heaven can come to earth? Think about it. God made it easy by bringing the…

COME OUT FROM THE SHADOWS! All IS WELL.

“Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things unto her. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when He had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent Me, even so send I…

    PRESS!

“In the crowd that day was a woman who had suffered greatly for twelve years from slow bleeding. Even though she had spent all that she had on healers, she was still suffering. Pressing in through the crowd, she came up behind Jesus and touched the tassel of his prayer shawl. Instantly her bleeding stopped and she was healed. Jesus suddenly stopped and said to his disciples, “Someone touched me. Who is it?” While they all denied it, Peter pointed out, “Master, everyone is touching you, trying to get close to you. The crowds are so thick we can’t walk through all these people without being jostled.”Luke‬ ‭8:43-45‬ ‭TPT‬‬ “Brethren,…

    LET THEM GO!

“So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. From the Negev he went from place to place until he came to Bethel, to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had been earlier and where he had first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the Lord. Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents. But the land could not support them while they stayed together, for their possessions were so great that…

    IT’S ME, NOT YOU.

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah and said to him, “Look, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us [and rule over us] like all the other nations.” But their demand displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge and rule over us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD. The LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.…

    GUARD IT!

“Guard [with greatest care] and keep unchanged, the treasure [that precious truth] which has been entrusted to you [that is, the good news about salvation through personal faith in Christ Jesus], through [the help of] the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭AMP‬‬ “Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will…

    KEEPING YOUR VOWS

How important is it to you to keep your word? Are you quick to make promises and when the dust settles you wish you hadn’t? Have you done that recently? Here’s an even bigger question. Have you done it to God? 😳 Let’s take a look at some key verses pertaining to vows and how seriously God takes us keeping our word. “If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty.…
